Blending Dixie Belle Paint on a Scottish Sideboard

What a beautiful and quality piece this was when we got it. It had the prettiest wood grain on the doors a drawers but it was veneer overlay and had some damage so I couldn’t leave the grain exposed like I wanted. So a brand new look with paint is what this piece got. I sure hope I did it justice.

Painted exclusively in Dixie Belle Paint Company paint in colors Sawmill Gravy, French Linen and a blend of French Linen and Chocolate. The colors were blended together to create a soft, ethereal look. You can check out my Facebook page for a quick live video of the blending.

I used WoodUbend Mouldings to add some decorative accents to the drawers and door fronts to take a plain, boring piece to the next level. You can find these on the Dixie Belle website.
Those beautiful WoodUBend mouldings were then highlighted by adding the new Posh Chalk Interiors metallic paste to them so they stood out to get all the attention they deserved.

To add a little color and feminine touch, I added parts of the Re·Design with Prima transfer, Rose Celebration, to a few areas.

To complete the look, I painted the inside of the doors with coordinating stripes.
The piece was sealed in Dixie Belle Best Dang wax for protection.
The top of the sideboard was stripped down to bare wood and left au natural because… well just look at the color and grain.

Sure hope you guys love it as much as I do.
Video for WoodUBend mounding application available on my YouTube channel. Live video of blending these colors is available on my Facebook page and time lapse available on YouTube as well.
