Chalk Painting Tutorial: Shades of Grey Paint Blending

Disclaimer: I like to play music in my shop while I paint so you may hear that and maybe my child in the background as well. Also, I’m a nurse and a painter. I’m not a professional videographer. I’m just a regular person trying to support my family and trying to do so while doing what I love by painting. I thought perhaps some people might like to know how I paint, so I started recording videos while I work and offer them at what I think is a reasonable cost. Please also keep in mind that it’s very hard to talk to yourself for 2-3 hours on a recording. I do try to explain what I’m doing as I work and what products I’m using on all my videos. This video is a tutorial on the finish seen on the blended dresser in the photo. It is a ~ 52 minute video that shows paint blending using Wise Owl products to achieve a soft, neutral look. I did a similar finish on a set last year that we shared on Pinterest and it has been one of the most popular shares we’ve had with many requests for a tutorial on it… so here it is.
